Hello -  After really enjoying the Kilburn II speaker, I bought two Acton II speakers to couple them for ambiant sound when not using traditional speakers since you can't couple Marshall's wireless speakers. The Acton II is fantastic for sound and range individually *before* my attempt to couple them. I've had many complex compatibility issues with products over the years, but in this case, it's most puzzling why two same-model "coupled" speakers can be controlled via the iPhone/iPad I paired with them, as well as with the Marshall app (volume/sound settings) but cannot in any shape or form maintain simultaneous outputs even when they're placed right next to each other (well within the 10-meter Marshall spec). So before returning them back to store, I wanted to check with other customers if they've ever truly achieved the goal of coupling two Acton II's with both of them continuously and consistently playing in tandem without streaming drops. Thank you for letting me know,

What I've tried to so far:

- Followed Marshall's pairing/coupling intructions word-by-word. Though their instructions are incomplete and way below their reputation.

What's more disappointing is the prompt you get in the app to "stay connected to Acton II but disconnected from Acton II in Bluetooth settings." Anyone know what that means?

- Tried two iPhones and an iPad (all latest iOS).

- Deleted, rebooted, and re-installed the Marshall Bluetooth app (v1.3.1) for iOS.

- Moved the speakers next to each other to eliminate distance argument.

- Tested each speaker with direct Bluetooth to iPhone/iPad source without any issues. In fact, range is so much more when not using the Marshall app to stream to the speaker.

- Factory-reset the speakers.

- End result: The only way I was able to have them coupled was ignore their instructions, couple the speakers and then completlely shut down their app. after they show as coupled . However, there's no way for them to continuously and play in tandem (even sitting right next to each other with source iPhone/iPad next to them). They continue to switch between each other.

- Also, Marshall needs to be clear that a "couple" can only function with one lifetime source. As soon as you try to use the speaker "couple" on another source device, you lose everything on the previous device and need to de-couple, forget speakers, re-add speakers to your device's Bluetooth, and then pray that the Marshall app will allow you to couple them again. Most of the 18-20 times I tried the whole process, I needed to uninstall their app, reboot device, and re-install their app. :(

Any help deeply appreciated before I return these speakers.

Hi All,

I have an immaculate first issue anniversary Silver Jubilee head and cabinet that I want to sell but going through some specialists etc the valuation is disappointing.

I went on a tour of the factory a few years ago and my guide was surprised that I had such nice gear and commented that there was only 800 0f them made as a first run !

Can anyone give me a guide to the valuation ?

Many thanks.

My 2016 Code 50 has a non functioning power supply, i am in Australia and so far both E-mailing the local parts supplier and Marshal support has fallen on deaf ears , I am seeing all over here that there is no replacement for this power supply , if this is so , I can't believe that marshal would release such a shoddy product , it actually is quite a nice little amp , my jcm 800 and 1959 SL have been running since the 70's and eighties rock solid , I guess my question is can someone steer me in the right direction, because I don't want to have a brick in my studio

Hi,
I tried to connect Marshall Gateway App to Code 25. (Firmware v1.46)
While Bluetooth connection between mobile and Code25 basically is set up and I can even stream music to it,  the app says "You may only control amps you are already connected to for audio output".

I cannot connect the app to the amp.

Maybe anybody can give me a hint.

Cheers,

Martin

I recently purchased a Marshall SC20H, I have noticed that there is a lot of "noise" in the amp when the FX loop is engaged. The nature of the noise is broad band hiss, similar to white noise. I am wondering if there is something I can do to remedy this problem, or if this is a flaw in the unit.

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Hi,

New to the forum, and new to valve amps. I have just bought a Dsl20cr, and I've spent the last 40 mins on standby mode to allow the valves to warm up.

Unfortunately, I'm still not getting any sound out of the amp.

Any suggestions would be greatfully received.

Regards,

Karl

We have two Marshall Acton Multiroom that have the exact same issue. Whenever they have been plugged in the power for more than 24 hours the sound becomes distorted/crackles and it gets increasingly worse the longer the speaker is powered on.

The only solution we have found is to pull the power plug for a minute before plugging it back in. Then the speaker will play fine for another 24 hours before it starts to crackle again. However, this solution is very inconvenient.

We have reached out to the Marshall support but they are not much of a help.

Has anyone else found a solution to this issue?

Hi,

when will be the Marshall Code 100H (Head) available in stores in Germany again?

I'm wondering that it's not shown on Marshalls website anymore. Is it discontinued?

Kind regards,

Alex

Hello, everyone! I'm looking to buy a Marshall Code 25, and I've heard that plugging a bass guitar into a guitar amp can damage it, therefore I'm wondering if plugging a bass into the amp and recording it through the USB port will harm the guitar amp.

Hello Everyone,

I bought the Marshall code 100 Head as a second hand after watching the positive reviews of it, and I really liked the sound and its features!

I plugged it to a 1 x 12 Cabinet and it works good except for my big disappointment with the hissing white noise that i was getting even when the master volume knob on the amp is turned all the way down.

I tried every simple solution that i could come with, including turning off the computer in the room, I tried resetting the Amp to factory settings,  I even installed the new firmware from the marshall website.  but none solved this issue.
Does anyone know the solution for this problem?

Thank you very much in advance

I have tried doing so but the problem I am having is there is about a half a second of audio delay while playing.  I didnt know if an additional audio interface would solve that issue or if the amp itself should handle the traffic well enough. It could also be possible that i need to re-orchestrate how i have all the cabling ran and how i have the audio being played through the amp. I simply have the guitar plugged into amp, amp plugged into pc with micro USB cable provided. I had all the output audio from the computer going to the amp.  The computer being used has over adequate specs to run everything needed.

Thanks for your assistance

I am the happy owner of the TSL60 JCM2000 amplifier. I am an electronics engineer. For me, the regulation process is very simple, only the correct value is important. I would like to check if the BIAS value is correct after several years of use. I also wanted to know this value in case of changing lamps for new ones. In this amplifier, only one potentiometer is used for adjustment. There are three control pins. Pins 1 and 3 give the same values. Pins 1 and 3 are shorted? What should be the correct voltage value between pins 1 and 2 as well as 2 and 3? 40mV or 80 mV?

Hello all, I have an older amp MG15CDR. Bit of a problem with it. Crackles when you turn the gain pot or the tone pot. Seems to be worse when just turned on.  Maybe it's the potentiometers need replacing? Anyone else had this problem?  I can't see that Marshall will supply just these parts.

I would like to repair it, as it is a great little amp, suits my needs well.

When I connect the DI output of my new Origin 20c to my recording system (ART USB Dual Pre into Logic Pro on M1 iMac) there is a constant hum. A noise gate set to -30dB just cuts it out. The combo speaker itself is silent. I cannot find any help on the Marshall website!

Before I start playing with the amp, are the user created presets stored separately from the inbuilt ones? I've read through the manual and got the impression that if I save one that I have created then it will overwrite the last one I was using?
