Hello. I just got a Code 25. I was super excited. Got it home and plugged the guitar in and nothing. No sound no cracking. Nothing. Powers on and you can hear through the headphone jack but nothing else. Any suggestions or help??

Is there any alternative to the Marshall Bluetooth App for the Acton / Stanmore II / Woburn Series?

Specifically is there another way to link up two speakers to a stereo pair? Maybe a desktop client or maybe even a command line tool?
Or is anyone aware of an e.g. an open source project that reverse engineered the protocol? I can't be the only one out there finding the app horribly unintuitive and poorly programmed, also some functions simply do not work - e.g. source selection for a coupled pair.

Thx...

Im really bummed about this, any word on why this is happening and how to fix it?.

I was really excited to get this amp - it seemed perfect, but i found out the DI out has a speaker sim applied... Which is a bit of a shame. Is it possible to bypass the speaker sim on the DI Output of the Marshall Origin 20, even as a modification? That would really open up it's flexibility to then use your own Speaker responses etc.

Thanks.

For the past two years, I've been playing.

I play classical guitar, but I want to play metal, rock, and blues, and I'm looking for my first electric guitar and amp, but I can't decide which one to acquire.

For the past week, I've been watching reviews on YouTube:)

Hi,

I've just recently bought the Acton II to have as a speaker in our bathroom. Looks great and sound good enough. So far I'm satisfied.
However, the speaker is driving me mad. Here's why.
My girlfriend and I both use the speaker whenever we're spending time in the bathroom, so both our phones have been connected to the speaker at some point.
But, if I'm playing music from my iPhone to the speaker and my girlfriend is in another room, let's say, watching YouTube on her iPhone things get wierd. If she adjusts the volume on here phone it also messes with my music in the bathroom.

Another example:

Playing music from phone 1 to Acton II. then, Adjusting the volume by using the buttons on the side of iPhone 1 also adjusts the main volume of phone 2. Even though Phone 2 isn't in use. It just messes with the volume of it.

This is suuuuuper annoying. Since the app is no where near of being good, I don't know how this can be solved. If there's no good solution I'm gonna have to sell the speaker and buy a brand that really knows how to make speakers for this purpose.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed..??

thanks / Mathias

I can't figure out how to tell if my Astoria is a US or EU version.  The seller told me it was US but I'm not confident.

I love this combo amp. It was working fine but the sound just stopped to a low whisper. I swapped the speaker, and the 12AX7 tube, but no success. You can barely hear sound but the guitar's and amp's volumes has to be 100%. The headphone out is doing the same thing. Can anyone provide some insight? Thank you all.

Hello Team,

On the manual of the DSL1hr Vietnam its says that speaker is allowed only 16ohms.

But on the DSL1H (50th Anniv) it is mentioned it can be both 8 and 16 ohms.

Not sure if the Vietnam version can use the 8ohms as well? and it was not published on the amp or manual?

Please advise

Thanks alot

Hi!

I bought a Marshall CODE 100w in Oct/22. It wasn't even used 10 times.

Yesterday when I went to turn on the equipment, the amplifier started to make a noise. I thought it might be the cable, but it wasn't.
Even without the cable connected to the equipment, the noise continued.

I reinstalled firmware but it didn't work either. ?

I do not know what to do.

Could you please help?

Hello, I am making a big purchase for my first tube amp and amp between the Marshall JVM 410 head and combo versions. So, obviously, the head offers more flexibility in terms of cabinet selection etc. However, the 410 combo also has a line out so that too can be paired with any cabinet if I am not mistaken. If that is the case, why don't more people gravitate towards the combo? Is there anything that the 410H can do that the 410C cannot? All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hello -  After really enjoying the Kilburn II speaker, I bought two Acton II speakers to couple them for ambiant sound when not using traditional speakers since you can't couple Marshall's wireless speakers. The Acton II is fantastic for sound and range individually *before* my attempt to couple them. I've had many complex compatibility issues with products over the years, but in this case, it's most puzzling why two same-model "coupled" speakers can be controlled via the iPhone/iPad I paired with them, as well as with the Marshall app (volume/sound settings) but cannot in any shape or form maintain simultaneous outputs even when they're placed right next to each other (well within the 10-meter Marshall spec). So before returning them back to store, I wanted to check with other customers if they've ever truly achieved the goal of coupling two Acton II's with both of them continuously and consistently playing in tandem without streaming drops. Thank you for letting me know,

What I've tried to so far:

- Followed Marshall's pairing/coupling intructions word-by-word. Though their instructions are incomplete and way below their reputation.

What's more disappointing is the prompt you get in the app to "stay connected to Acton II but disconnected from Acton II in Bluetooth settings." Anyone know what that means?

- Tried two iPhones and an iPad (all latest iOS).

- Deleted, rebooted, and re-installed the Marshall Bluetooth app (v1.3.1) for iOS.

- Moved the speakers next to each other to eliminate distance argument.

- Tested each speaker with direct Bluetooth to iPhone/iPad source without any issues. In fact, range is so much more when not using the Marshall app to stream to the speaker.

- Factory-reset the speakers.

- End result: The only way I was able to have them coupled was ignore their instructions, couple the speakers and then completlely shut down their app. after they show as coupled . However, there's no way for them to continuously and play in tandem (even sitting right next to each other with source iPhone/iPad next to them). They continue to switch between each other.

- Also, Marshall needs to be clear that a "couple" can only function with one lifetime source. As soon as you try to use the speaker "couple" on another source device, you lose everything on the previous device and need to de-couple, forget speakers, re-add speakers to your device's Bluetooth, and then pray that the Marshall app will allow you to couple them again. Most of the 18-20 times I tried the whole process, I needed to uninstall their app, reboot device, and re-install their app. :(

Any help deeply appreciated before I return these speakers.

Hi All,

I have an immaculate first issue anniversary Silver Jubilee head and cabinet that I want to sell but going through some specialists etc the valuation is disappointing.

I went on a tour of the factory a few years ago and my guide was surprised that I had such nice gear and commented that there was only 800 0f them made as a first run !

Can anyone give me a guide to the valuation ?

Many thanks.

My 2016 Code 50 has a non functioning power supply, i am in Australia and so far both E-mailing the local parts supplier and Marshal support has fallen on deaf ears , I am seeing all over here that there is no replacement for this power supply , if this is so , I can't believe that marshal would release such a shoddy product , it actually is quite a nice little amp , my jcm 800 and 1959 SL have been running since the 70's and eighties rock solid , I guess my question is can someone steer me in the right direction, because I don't want to have a brick in my studio
