I have an Origin 20 head with a 4x12 slant cab. I also have a Behringer interface for recording.
I have 3 questions.,...
1) Can I connect the DI Out to my interface?
2) Should I use a speaker or instrument cable?
3) I have attempted to connect to both a PA amp and to my interface and get an electric hum. I can still hear my instrument but the hum makes it unusable for recording purposes. Is there a way to eliminate this hum?
Hi there,
does anybody have a good idea how to get "THE" George-Lynch-sound (esp. the sound of the Dokken- or early Lynch-Mob-era) with a CODE 100C (or has even a preset programmed already)?
Same question for a good "keyboard"- or "synthesizer"-sound.
Any suggestions appreciated!
Thx, Mark
Hi, is there any technical documentation about valves replacement and bias setting?
I own a JCM 2000 DSL 401 and I need information before replacing valves (pairing, model, usage, bias setting).
Thank you.
Is there a record of my amps identity or serial number on here
Hi.
I've tried uploading the firmware on my Marshall Code 25 using the Chrome, Opera and Edge latest browser versions on my Macbook pro 12.3 (Monterey) using a midi usb cable.
When doing the update the amp connects and allows me to click update... it shows the progress to 100% but then gives the error below:
"An error occurred. The update process was not completed. Please try restarting your computer/device, and then try the update process again."
I must have tried this a 100 times with no success.
Now when i resart my amp to play some tunes the display says "CHK USB" and the amp wont work.
This is all very frustrating and i hope someone can assist.
This issue is driving me crazy. My Code 50 used to work with my iphone and ipad, now it refuses to connect and I always get the above message.
I have performed the following:
1. Forgot bluetooth connection on both devices
2. Deleted iphone app and re-installed.
3. Re-paired and tried to connect with same issues,
4. Formed factor preset of amp with no luck.
I know the blueotth connects as I can play music through my amp from phone, I just cannot connect to update any presets.
Any solutions would be greatfully received, am getting so frustrated with this product.
So I have a Marshall code 25 and lately controls (volume, bass, treble etc) change by themselves while playing it is really annoying to have my controls change with no reason and I have no idea why this is happening. Am I the only one experiencing this? Please help
Hello,
I often play my origin 20h without the speaker connected, using the internal dummy load (no speaker cable connected).
My question is: can I leave the speaker cable connected to the origin, but NOT to the cab? Or thay it's going to deactivate the internal dummy load, as the cab was connected?
It would be easier for me that way, to occasionally use the cabinet without turning the head to reach the connector, but I ask because I don't want that to damage the amp.
Please let me know, thanks and regards
I am in the process of buying a Code 100 Head and 4x12 Cab and just visited the Marshall.com website to see that it is a discontinued item. Do I stop the purchase now as I don't want to spend the money buying something that doesn't have any firmware updates or support of any kind should something go wrong. I have read some of the issues and don't want to sit with any and have nowhere to go with the problem. I'm based in a small town in South Africa so it's not just a quick trip to the Marshall store to get it checked or repaired. Marshall Support/Code 100 Owners ... Please give me some URGENT advice? The purchase process has already started :(
I recently got a new iPadPro. I can Bluetooth to my Code25, but when I open the MyMarshall app I get the following: "Context 3D not available! Possible reasons: wrong renderMode or missing device support." What does that mean and how do I get the app to open? I deleted the app and reinstalled and have powered the 25 down and restarted.
Hello,
I have just bought the Marshall Code 100 which I was really excited about having read the description and watched the demo videos. The amp does sound amazing, but yesterday, on the first occasion that I actually tried the amp during a rehearsal, I was shocked to discover that when I step on the provided footswitch to change presets (like activate one with distortion or heavy delay), mid-song, the flow of the sound broke, there was a moment of silcence before it switched to the next preset. I've been trying to research this on the Internet, but have only found 2 instances of it being addressed, no one talks about this in review videos or blogs. This baffles me - how is (mostly) everyone ok with this?
This effectively makes it impossible to use the built-in effects of the amp, which is exactly what its main outstanding feature is. Why have a 100 presets when you can't switch mid-song? Are guitarists only supposed to use the Code family to select the main sound they want for a certain song, then keep using pedals for changes mid-song?
I'm extremely disappointed, since the built-in effects were the main reason I went for this amp - I wanted to use this as both an amp and a multi-effect board to some extent. Is there any fix for this? A firmware update maybe, or does the separately-sold Code pedal make a difference?
Seriously considering returning it at this point.
I been use My amp and sudenly stops working, so i look and theres no light in the screen and on the botons but there is sound from the speakers when you turn it on so i think the power it's ok but the control panel isn't working, what can I do?
I run the two seperate channels (normal and boost) at max - all the levels are at ten, and I then use the master pres at 6 reverb 6 and then the volume to just dial in the volume level I like.
This way I can run bedroom or gig volumes on a JCM800!!
Question is - by having all the levels dimed and dialing in the volume I want via the Master am I cooking the amp too much. Running like this - even the clean channel even has some serious crunch.
Is this really just attenuating and should I worry about burnout?
Hi guys,
i have a marshall code 25 and i have a problem when i link my phone via bluetooth and via jack to have a backing track while i'm playing guitar.
via bluetooth the sound is like in a shell, is not clear and brilliant, but like closed, sorry i can't explain well. Like the treble very low, and the middle and bass high
via jack in the ipod input i need to raise the master volume to the top to hear something but is very low.
A friend has a marshall 15watt without bluetooth but with the ipod input. When i link the phone there, the sound is not affected by the master volume but only by the phone. And the sound is good like directly from the phone. The pots on the amp changes only the sound from guitar like normal use.
What can i do? Could you help me?
Thanks!
Could EL84 tubes be substituted in place of the EL34s if need be? EL34s are becoming less available.
So I plugged it in today after a few months (kinda lost interest in guitars for a while) and only a couple songs into my session the sound completely stopped, the screen and buttons started blinking, and nothing changed it. I turned it off, unplugged it, and plugged it back in but the only thing that was different was only the screen blinked. I read online that someone had the same problem on a 50 and the processor on their amp was done. I just wanna know if there is ANY other thign that could be causing this and if it is easier to fix/replace without getting a whole new amp.
I just picked up the guitar for the first time in months and then this had to happen. I guess its just my luck.
Hello
Were these amps handwired?
Thanks
Hey, I've been having issues with my Code 50 amp suddenly. When I plug in my guitar I can't play any sound, yet it works in another amp so my guitar and leads are fine. I've updated my software and the amp still doesnt work, so I think I'm gonna have to resort to a Factory Reset. Just wondering if there is a way to save my presets before I do a factory reset?
