Hello Guys

I just got a PEDL 91009 foot controller for my Code25. Impressed with how well it works and how useful it is (considering it connects with a normal guitar cable).

However the documentation for the 91009 is pretty poor and consists of a single sided page in the manual. I have found a few things that I can't find documented and I wonder if anyone else has found anything too.

Firstly, In the manual is says that in switch mode you can assign which blocks can be switched on and of with the three foot switches. This is great but what isn't clear in the manual is that this is universal and not per patch. i.e. if you assign button 3 to switch on the tuner then on every patch button 3 will swich on the tuner. It's the same with the tap tempo. So this means if you want the tuner available and tap tempo, then you can only switch on and off 1 effects module. Not the end of the world, but not clear in the manual. It's a shame there wasn't 2 buttons specifically for these functions.

Secondly. I had to look through this forum to find out how to reset the settings stored in the 91009, maybe it is documented somewhere in the manual. but I couldnt find it.

Thirdly. I discovered that if you are in switch mode (to switch on and off effects blocks in a patch). If you press and hold button 1 to 3 the 91009 changes to the patch stored in that bank position, but remains in switch mode. This means you don't have to come out of switch mode, change to the new patch in that bank and then go back into switch mode. May be useful for some people, but I couldnt find this in any manuals either.

Overall an impressive foot controller (for what it is). Has anyone else found out anying more it can do?

Hi,

This may be a bit of a stretch, but I lost my charging case for my Mode IIs after only a few uses, but I have my actual earbuds still.

I was wondering if anyone on here knew of a charging case that might be compatible with this product?

Also... if anyone has a spare charging case for these guys laying around please DM me.

And before anyone asked, I did reach out to customer support and they are not selling the cases at this time unfortunately.

Thanks!

Ive been struggling with this too, first the amp starts with irregular noise, then makes a high noise sound and stop working, I tell the store to replace and they denied, they says they are not responsible for this issue and says I have to ask for warranty with marshall but I cant contact you in any way. This is very sad I saved money for a long time to buy this because I believed marshall was a good brand, and as I see you are not taking any action to solve this. Please help me.

I bought a DSL1CR as a practice amp recently, sound was cutting out so sent back and bought another replacement DSL1CR from another vendor.  Received the replacement -- same issue, sound cuts out.  Goes from a 4 to a 1-- then back again... round and round we go..  Have done troubleshooting w/ cable & guitar (brand new Fender Telecaster) -- those aren't the issue.  Thoughts?  I hate to return again-- love the sound... with the caveat: when it works;)

Any one else hearsd of this issue/ how to rectify?

Thanks!

Hello, I bought a Marshall CODE 25 yesterday, and so far I love the sound and feel of the amp. But I am having the same issue that alot of people are having, I can connect to the amp via my phone's Bluetooth but the amp will not show up in the Gateway app.

I have tried everything in the FAQ troubleshooting guide, nothing works. I can play music to my amp but that's it. Feels like a problem with the app and not my phone.

Are you reading the forums, Marshall? You need to take a look at your app, seems like it has some compabillity issues, it's working for some people but not everyone.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8.

Please fix.

Hi there. There is a very audible metallic ringing coming from what most likely sounds like the tubes when the gain or master volume is turned up to a usable level on any power setting. There is also a high-pitched scratching type buzzing (not 60hz or ground buzz) at higher master volume levels even with the tilt, presence, and treble turned all the way down.  It sounds exactly like the problem user Chris Holtmier asked about in his question on Dec 27, 2018. It is brand new shipped, and I noticed this immediately out of the box just 30 mins ago. I have tried other speakers, guitars, guitar cables, position in the room on the floor and tightened all the screws as well as re-seating the tubes. It's probable that the tubes are microphonic after shipping but because of the way it is built, I cant reach the tubes to do the tap test when its plugged in. Although the response to the previous question in mention was stated as "We have not come across a rattle on the Origin 50 Combo" it seems that this is a recurring problem with a few of them as he was referring to a post on another forum about the same kind of noise on an Origin 5 as well.

I guess my question is, why doesn't this work properly brand new and is there anything besides a re-tube that you can suggest to fix the problem without returning it?  I can post a sound file if needed. I usually re-tube with JJs anyways (which I suspect would fix the problem) but for now its actually cheaper to drive a 6 hour round-trip on a weekday to a GC than a $100 re-tube that possibly still might not fix the issue.

Other than that, I do really like the amp. I can tell that I would really enjoy it without the noise. I enjoy the effects loop, line out, gain boost, the tilt knob, and especially the vintage styling. It reminds me of a bluesbreaker. I dont play anything other than lower-wattage cathode-biased 6L6 or EL34 and I love pushing them to the max.  With a Rat going straight in I had a lot of fun with it before I noticed the noises again. I'm willing to admit its just a random lemon but maybe it's just from UPS handling and tubes being the way they are. I am going to play it side-by-side with the same model and check that theory. If its just the tubes I will def get the same amp again.

What are the best EL34 tubes to use to lower overheating problems in the JTM60 head? And what is the recommended bias voltage setting also.

Hi y‘all, no question, just a personal update.

Have been playing two Code50s now for about three years (one for home-use and gigging, the other one for rehearsals, one the clone of the other), and haven‘t had any issues with them.
Now decided to upgrade to the Code100 combo, so I also bought two of them (same idea like said above). First impression was „more headroom“ and a bit „kind-of-more-airy“ open sound with the Code100. In comparison the Code50 sounds a bit more „compressed“.

So, gonna keep the 100s and give away the 50s. Looking forward to rocking the world with the new amps.

Hi, all together!

Pressing REV and POWER starts Bluetooth-Pairing - so far no problem. Also, the amp will also connect automatically when my phone is "near" without any problems.

Now my question:  Is there any way to really "turn off" Bluetooth so the amp does not "search" für devices anymore?

Thx in advance!

I have/had a Code 50 that was crashing when I saved a preset. I called Marshall support and they arranged for the amp to be collected. They called me a few days later and said they're experiencing the same issue, but they didn't have the part they need so they sent me a brand new one.

However, I've just received the replacement and it has the same issue. The man I spoke to on the phone said it had been tested before they sent it to me so I re-read the manual to check I wasn't doing anything wrong but I'm certain I'm not.

I've uploaded a video of the issue to youtube here:

EDIT: Looks like links aren't allowed. It's at youtube dot com/watch?v=HWUFDVkAN2Y

I've posted this message on here, because I first emailed contactus@marshall.com but didn't receive a response. When I phoned the customer services number the man I spoke to arranged collection straight away which was great but I'm not sure how to proceed now that the replacement also has the same issue.

I love the Marshall brand but I'm not confident I won't have the same issue with another replacement. I can't return it to the retailer either because I first purchased it over a year ago.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

My new code 100 downloads presets. But as soon as you shut it off the new preset dissapears. I save it I sync it with the correct cable connected. Every time it fails to work properly. The pre loaded presets are unusable for the most part. Most are strange unusable things or the volume is so low its inaudible in a band setting. I have watched every tutorial i can find. Nothing works. paid 550 bucks for a product i can't use. i will likely never buy marshall again. constant noise in the amp. just a horrible experience. My little mcg whatever it is marshall is better than this thing

I have a Stanmore II 1 day old, prior to this I have had a BOSE for 8 years with no bluetooth problems in house.

This speaker is a huge disappointment, loud crackling periodically, bluetooth constantly cutting off and on.

Speak to live chat, typical reset device advice, made no difference. In the end they recommend to return for refund-credit.

Never again will I buy a Marshall product, it goes back and I will buy another BOSE.

(04:43:28) Ken: Speaker links, open Spotify or YouTube, both same problem.
(04:44:08) Vincent: Thanks for trying Ken. Does it cut off on and off?
(04:44:25) Ken: Try to play, pause then Bluetooth connected cuts off, reconnects again after 2 seconds, then solid led.
(04:44:48) Ken: No sound, just keeps cutting off again
(04:45:15) Vincent: Understood. May I know where did you purchase the speaker? Is it from our official website?
(04:45:29) Ken: Mediamarkt Vienna
(04:45:44) Ken: An official outlet
(04:46:03) Vincent: In that case, I would suggest returning it to the store for an exchange or refund, as it was a recent purchase.
(04:46:33) Ken: Ok, yes I will do this. Thank you Vincent.
(04:46:49) Vincent: You're most welcome Ken. Good luck and take care!

Hello.

I'm not sure if I phrased that correctly, apologies.

I've been enjoying the Emberton for 3 months and have recently noticed that whenever I turn the volume up above 50-60% the lows fall behind and are almost not audible. It effectively sounds like I've applied a high pass filter regardless of the mobile device or media App used. This was not initially the case.

Any advice is welcome, seems like a software thing. I've been careful with it.

A little less than a year ago we have purchased the Stanmore 2 wifi (with Google Assistant).  A stunning beautifull speaker at a relatively high price. At this price one would expect the best quality.

Pretty much immediately we noticed that when using the speaker on wifi there is a crackling sounds that interupts the music every so often.  At times this crackling sound can be rather loud and disturbing. We contacted marshall customer support on numerrous ocations.

After our first contact we got given some advice on how to solve the problem. This is what we were told:

- There may be other appliences near by that are causing the interferance

- Our music source may be running out of energy/power

- Our Wifi may not be strong enough

- Asked to try resetting the speaker to factory settings.

After having tried all of the above and moving the speaker all over the house, pluggin out all other appliences and plugging in the music source to the power the problem did not go away. We immediately contacted customer support again. Though they were friendly I found it strange that they actually just gave me the same message again, with no additional solutions. Almost as if my second message (where I explained what we have tried in detail) was not even read.

After a couple of attempts of getting through to customer support they finally responded with a more realistic solution; Returning the speaker. This is where I really got annoyed. I have explained in my mails that the crackling sound is not constant. In their response about me being able to return the speak for them to see what the problem is they were clear that should they find no problem that the postal costs (and all other additional costs) would be charged to me. Since the crackling sound is not constant, the chance is big that when they test it they may not hear the crackling at that moment and then blame and charge me.

All in all this is not what I would expect of a comapany with this reputation and price tag. Simply put this problem should not even exist. I have a couple of other speakers at home (Bluetooth, wifi) all working perfectly at a fraction of the price. Non of them have ' interferance issues', power Issues etc. A speaker at this price  of the Stanmore should simply not have these problems to start with.

I believe Marshall should take responsibility for this problem and admit it is an issue with their speaker and not due to 'circumstances' at my house. There are enough complaints about this issue online to proof that the fault lies with the speaker.

Marshall please fix the problem and please replace my speaker.
