So, my Marshall JVM 410c lately started making minor crackling sounds before creating a huge pop sound, and the level would be reduced until I changed the channel. This was concerning enough, and I had intended to have it checked out at my local shop, but then it began to hum and then produced the same pop sound last night. Even when I change the channel, no sound comes out now. Is there anyone who knows what's causing this? I'm not familiar with tube amplifiers, so I'm assuming this just means I need to replace a tube rather than the entire unit.

? ? ?

I am not able to use the product in a minimally satisfactory way due to the following problems and difficulties:

- It is not possible to change the order of patches saved in either the hardware or the mobile application. There is no way to back up the saved patch set;

- The foot controller only controls the patches of blocks 1, 2 and 3. I explain: the FS only handles A1, A2, A3, up to J1, J2 and J3, which totals only 30 patches out of the 100 available. It is not possible to handle patches numbers 4 to 10, 14 to 20, 24 to 30, 34 to 40, etc.

- The unit is crashing during patch editing directly on the hardware (I have videos with the evidence).

Marshall Team, we need your support to resolve this, please! Thanks!

My Code25 over the last few months, has started to suffer from the volume suddently dropping. It doesn't seem to matter what preset I am using, though the main culprits seem to be the Jubilee Gain with the classic 100w power amp setting and 1960 cab. When it occurs, I either have to come out of the preset, try different presets by pressing the various buttons on the PEDL91009, or by turning the amp off and on. This doesn't happen every time I use the amp, but enough to be an issue, especially when out gigging. I am on the latest firmware of 1.44

An example of the problem can clearly be heard on this recording of a recent practice session. It start at full volume, then just drops considerably.

?

Is this a known issue? Is there likely to be a future firmware update which may adress it?

Most times on my Code 50 when I save a preset I have to switch my amp off and then back on again because the sound stops coming out of it. I can't even scroll it through different presets at all. It's pretty annoying to deal with

Hi,

Does anyone know where to find information about firmware updates for the Marshall Multi-room speakers? (Stanmore, Acton, Woburn).
Like a changelog or latest firmware date?

I want to find out if Marshall is even working at fixing all the known problems at all or if they just totally abandoned these products.

My current firmware:

Marshall Stanmore Multi-Room
Firmware: 1561616839
Chromecast v: 1.28.102057

Marshall Acton Multi-Room
Firmware: 1561617046
Chromecast v : 1.28.102057

I've tried to do this firmware update which is requested on my ACTON II. The problem is when loading firmware into the device, it is a slow process, even after starting over 5 times I cannot finish this update. Error says "We've found an error updating firmware, try again" It's frustrating. Any help will be very appreciated.

I have a 1990 JCM900 100w head, serial number Y24093. I know Y = 1990. What does the rest mean? Ive found nothing but Y = 1990. .  24th week? 93 made? Is there a site that deciphers the meaning of the entire serial number?

I recently purchased a new SC20H. The production sticker date is 2019-34. When depressing the On/Off button for the loop there is a substantial  drop in volume. Also, there is a hum present when the loop is in use. Additionally, when engaging pedals in the loop a popping sound is present. This is not something I have experienced  with other amps and I did not expect in what is marketed as a high end Made in England Marshall. This amplifier was produced  some time ago as evidenced by the date sticker. Have these issues since been addressed? I do not want to submit a brand new amplifier for repair. I am still under the retailers return/exchange period. Would exchanging for a more recent  production SC20H resolve this issue?

Marshall,

Recently purchased a used G80R CD that didn't come with the footswitch pedal. Looking to be able to switch channels and turn off/on the reverb.  Is there a specific pedal for this model amp, or is there a universal pedal (Marshall) that will work? Can you provide an item #?

Thanks,

Eric Z.

Hello

Recently purchased this amp head only to find out that the effects loop does not works as advertised

I have tried an number of buffered and unbuffered pedals and the result is very frustrating

When the loop switch is engaged with the amp in 5 watt mode there is an audible pop a noticeable hum comes from the amp/speakers and any effects connected pop loudly when engage/disengaged.

When the loop switch is engaged with the amp in 20 watt mode (full power) there is an  audible pop a louder more annoying  hum coming from the amp/speakers and any effects connected pop loudly when engage/disengaged.

I have also used just a quality effects pedal cable between the send/receive only to see if it’s just the pedals and the circuit still click and hums when engaged.

This is totally unacceptable in any way shape of form and I would expect that with a brand such as Marshall and its long history of quality equipment that these type of issues would not exist as pre user testing would have sort them out!

This appears not to be the case as a number of online amp forums have pointed out that this is a know issue with this amp and no know solution or repair fix has been forthcoming from Marshall.

Please issue a fix for this to be carried out by authorised service techs at your expense as this type of marketing and selling of equipment that is faulty and "not fit for purpose" is illegal under Australian consumer law and is most likley the case in other countries

I look forward to receiving a thoughtful and considered response to resolving this issue!

Hi,

I was wondering if i can use a A/B footswitch to switch between 2 seperate cabs while the amp is on, as the amp has a internal load?

Thanks Mark

I have read, when using the direct out there is no need to have a cabinet connected to the head.

My question is: is this in general or only when the direct out is engaged?

I would like to slave another amp from the effects send, without using a cabinet connect to the origin 50 head.

I wonder if the dummy loads is always on
