Hello people.

have a little problem.

At home, to write songs, I play with an old marshall valvestate 80watts (8080)

I'm looking for an amp to replace it.

The thing, and don't laugh please, is that I love the sound of the lead channel. If it is set properly, it sounds really good.

The distortion is really very sharp.

In any case, with my guitar it works wonders.

So I'm looking for a more current amp that can replace it.

I just need to be able to have sharp and precise sounds ... Zakk wylde way in Ozzy.

I've had my dsl 401 for about 12 years. In the United States. From the beginning, it would lose power, go silent, but then come back. Now, it has gone completely silent, won't come back, and I can't find a certified Marshall repair listed anywhere in the United States. All my searches, including on Marshall's own website, state it is for UK customers only. This issue is common with this amp. Can you point me in the right direction? I am not an engineer.

Hi -

I wanted to change the power tube in my DSL1HR Head.  Will it need Re Biasing ? or I can go ahead and just swap the tube and no problems it is good to go.

Thank You

I have received the following error on my iPad after an update of the IOS:

context 3D not available ! Possible reasons : wrong rendermode or missing device support

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, disconnected the Bluetooth and reconnected, everything I can think of and nothing has gotten rid of the error message. Very frustrated. Thoughts?

Hi. I just bought Marshall 1959 HW and it's constantly humming when it's on. I have Wizard Modern Classic Amp and ENGL Powerball 2 and they don't hum like that when ON. Is it normal? Also when I strum a chord very loud mechanical noise going out of the back. Check the video I shot to hear how both issues sound:

Hi I have a Marshall Code 100 and I often download patches of my fav artists from Marshallcode.tools. Firstly, let's get down to basics. Are "patches" the same as "presets"? It's really confusing as marshallcode.tools calls them patches but on this my.marshall site they are called "presets" but as far as I can see they are the same thing.

As there is only room for 100 presets on my amp, whenever I download a new patch from marshallcode.tools to my amp, I always make sure to copy the original preset that came with the amp that I am replacing, to my library as a backup, in case I want to reload them back onto the amp. When I click on the settings icon next to a preset in my gateway, it comes up with the option to "copy to library". It seems to take about 3 or 4 days for a preset to transfer to my library. Is "My Library" cloud based storage? 3 or 4 days seems like a long time for a preset, which are small files as far as I am aware, to copy to my library. I get concerned sometimes that it isn't copying over when I check the next day or even 2 days after copying it and I do not see it in my library, because immediately after I click copy to library, I can see it in my library, but it is black in background colour, rather than the olive green of all the other presets in my library. And  then to check the next day and not see it anywhere in my library, regardless of colour, seems strange, like it has disappeared (but maybe it is just in transit?). They all eventually seem to arrive there, just seems strange that I cannot see it in my library in black background to indicate it is still uploading to my library cloud. So I am wondering if it usually takes a number of days to actually appear in my library and why it disappears from My Library during those few days of uploading?

I've 3 Marshall AMP

1. AFD 100 Slash signature with Footswitch Model : PEDL-00053 (2 channel footswitch)

2. SL 5 Combo, Slash signature with Footswitch Model : PEDL-00009 (2 channel footswitch)

3. Marshall 2555X Silver Jubilee Re-Issue with Footswitch Model : PEDL-90003 (1 channel footswitch)

My plan is to mount my AFD 100 , Footswitch Model : PEDL-00053 to pedal board and use this Footswitch  as main Footswitch to all 3 amp

Could you please confirm  Marshall AFD 100 Footswitch Model : PEDL-00053 compatible with PEDL-00009 & PEDL-90003 ?

or any concern If I use PEDL-00053 for all 3 amp ?

Thank you very much for your information.

I bought a used JVM1C from GC and it it didn't come with a footswitch. They gave me a single button Blackstar FS. It doesn't work. I think this amp uses a single button FS to switch channels. I can't believe I can't find anything on the internet to identify the replacement switch.

Hi

I recently bought a Marshcall Code 50 and I have two old footswitches (a Behringer and a Boss Dual foot switch FS-6). All I want to be able to do is cycle between presets on the code. On both the footswitches the code only cycles backwards, and not forwards at all. Is there a setting on the code somewhere that I need to change so that I can cycle either way through the presets?

Much appreciated

So I have a 1977 JMP 50 watt 4 hole amp. S# 474j.  Model says M2100. I was told when I bought it used it was a special order amp. It was not available at any dealer. It was a 212 combo. I took it out of the combo box and got a mojotone headshell for it. It is all original except for the case/box. It still had Marshall branded pre amp tubes when I got it. It has GE 6550 power tubes. I am thinking of selling it. Does anyone know the value of an amp like this. The Doyle book doesn't talk much about it, he says no bother, very few people will have one. Well I do but don't know anything about it.

So I thank you for the reply. I tried to send pictures to the link in your email but I kept getting them returned.  Is there another way to get pictures to you? I tried the insert tab here but it just says link? I am technically challenged,  sorry bout that.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Bought the amp in early December 2019,  took it in for repair the next day with a midi problem,  was using a TECH21 Midimoose and it worked till I turned the amp off after playing for an hour, turned it back on and the midi stopped working., musical instrument store sent it back East (Canada) and haven't seen it since.  I'm concerned that when it does come back, it will have no warranty left and the problem will reoccur.  Is there a fix for this midi problem?

It is now March and still no sign of the Marshall DSL40CR.  What can I do but wait?!?  Good thing my backup amp is reliable.  I am assuming Marshall does not have repair parts to send to the repair shop.  What other reason could there be?

Hello Marshall,

I'd like to register my new SV20H, so I sent an email to "servicedesk@marshall.com" with my details asking them to help me register it.

Will that take care of it?

Hi

My dsl 20hr is a great sounding amp, I have just started using the supplied footswitch, but noticed a problem. The tone changes when footswitch is plugged in, the tone is clearer, slightly louder. When unplugged the tone goes slightly darker. Also when plugged in the tone is better, more crunchy. But when I engage the fx loop, again the tone darkens, as if throwing a blanket over the speakers. I run a delay and reverb in the loop, checked all cables etc all fine. Any assistance greatly appreciated.
