Hi Marshalls

I have a oldish AS50R that sits unused most of the time. Wanting to use again but hampered by vol cutting out as the vol knob is turned. Tried openingup cab and spraying WD40 contact cleaner stuff. I think I might need to replace the volume control unit and would appreciate advice. Local amp shop would step in but they are way behind and expensive. If I need parts where can I order from?

Basically - can I fix this myself?

Good morning

I own a 2555 jubilee and was a bit confused with its serial number 09171

Was it made in 1991? I thought they made them in the 80's

Your help would be appreciated

Hi, I'm in Canada and I am seeing 2 different listings and model numbers for the Origin 20 combo on Amazon.ca. Whats the difference between M-ORI20C ($679.99) and M-ORI20CU ($690.46 * this is the one listed on Amazon.com in the USA)? Is it that the CU model has a darker(black) grill cloth?

Thanks

It is quite easy to reorganise presets using the My Gateway webpage, which then syncs to the app. However, I like to keep my presets on the app and amp the same, and it is quite arduous to transfer them all manually, is there any way to transfer all presets from the app to the amp at once?

Hi,

My Stanmore 2 recently stopped being able to connect to Spotify using the Spotify Connect feature.

I have done a factory reset and tried reconnecting to the internet again.

I tested the Alexa functions and those work, such as asking for the time and weather updates and they are fine, so its just the Spotify Connect.

The Marshall speaker shows up on the list of devices on the Spotify App  that I can connect to but it just stays on "Connecting..." when selected.

I can connect fine to my PC and Echo device via Spotify Connect.

Any help?

Thanks,

Alfie

Yes, I've read the many questions of the same nature on the forum, and performed all the suggested actions. None of them have been successful.  I've seen many questions similar to mine, and only a few who have been able to make it work... and of those who did, their solutions didn't work for me.

When I connect my amp to my phone's bluetooth, it will pair for audio with no problems.  I can play audio through the amp.  When I open Gateway, there is no "red button" prompting me to connect.  When I tap on the CODE tab in the menu, it says "Not connected" and when I tap on the green "Scan for apps" button, nothing happens.

It will connect to my Samsung tablet with no issues.

Here are the steps I have tried:
Factory reset on the amp.
Unpair  and forget the amp in my phone's bluetooth settings.

Uninstall the app from my phone after clearing the cache and the data.

Update the firmware on the amp (the browser window said I was up to date but I installed the latest firmware anyway.)

What else can I do?  I don't want to return the amp because it sounds great, but not having the amp controls on my phone is a deal breaker.

just received my code 25 today in the mail, sounds great. except when I turn it on or connect to BT. when i do either, it makes a horribly loud screech sound that last about a half second. tried resinstalling fw, disconnecting all cables, still the same. can this be fixed or do i need to return it?

Here's a video of the loveliness: https://youtu.be/MW6hgIA0VCI

Thanks! Chris

Hi,

Wanting a bit of guidance... still within my first 24hours of ownership. I have the Gateway app, can play music and change pre-configured presets. But when I log into the Marshall site and try to download presets, I click (what looks like the doorway symbol) to download and end up with an 'X' on that symbol. It also says at the bottom of the page that I'm not connected... despite what my phone's settings (Galaxy S9, using Chrome browser) says. Really want to load up some of those presets that some people have put a lot of time into.

Thanks

Hi Marshall,
I am havin issues connecting my CODE 50 with my iPhone via Marshall Gatway app. Bluetooth connection is working and is connected with iPhone, but when I open app, app finds the CODE 50 amp and then it says "Connecting..." and nothing is going on. If I tap on my amp under Amps Detected, gives me this message:
"Connection Rejected - You may only control amps you are already connected to for audio output".  Please help.

Guitar and lead both work fine however my Marshall DSL40 (purchased Dec 2018) has stopped working, all lights work however there is no sound. High power output also makes strange popping/crackling noises when idle, also as of 2 weeks ago the amp would randomly but rarely make a clicking noise when in standby, this stopped a week later but  I had previously never ever heard this noise before. The standby also emits a quiet hum.

I have a Code 50 and I use the Gateway to play, but it does'nt stay connected. For half an hour of playing,  I have to reconnect 4-5 times. Do you know why ?

(The Code is the only Bluetooth connection in my phone).
